There is life after Game of Thrones.
It might come as some comfort to Jon Snow, who's fate in the hit HBO medieval drama is still up in the air, that a fellow deceased Thrones star has found a new outlet for his creativity.
Jacob Anderson, who played Daenerys Targaryen'sloyal commander Grey Worm, is releasing music under his alter-ego Raleigh Ritchie.
Although the 25-year-old has had quite a successful career as an actor, including his Thrones' role and with parts in British shows Broadchurch and Episodes, the music came first for Anderson.
"The music came before the acting, but I'm really conscious of promoting that you don't have to just pick one thing. It's not a choice between acting or music for me, I can do both - and so can anyone else," Ritchie said in an interview with The Hundreds.
As for that name, Raleigh Ritchie, apparently that one harks back to his love of film.
The musician has revealed in several interviews that it comes from the combination of Bill Murray's character (Raleigh St. Clair) and Luke Wilson's character (Richie Tenenbaum) in Wes Anderson's movie The Royal Tenenbaums.
His music is hard to define, blending genres such as hip-hop with soul and pop, making Raleigh Ritchie sound like a hybrid of English hip-hop act The Streets, crossed with Kendrick Lamar, by way of John Legend.
"I'm a hybrid of all of the music that I love. I like to take a little bit of something from everything, and make it my own," Ritchie told The Guardian last year.
"I don't want anybody to be able to pin me down. I want to set a precedent with people that they don't know what to expect from me."
*Raleigh Ritchie's first album You're a Man Now, Boy will drop on Friday and his single Bloodsport is out now via Sony Music Australia.
