Game of Thrones star Daniel Portman's disturbing fan encounters

Game Of Thrones star Daniel Portman has revealed he gets sexually harassed and assaulted by women, who grab his crotch "all the time" because of the show.

Portman, who plays plays Podrick Payne, says he has been groped in public ever since his character's manhood became the stuff of legends in the show, after a four-way romp with prostiutes who later refused to take his money.

The 27-year-old told Esquire he's had to field questions about his penis for years and put up with the constant groping, and while he obviously feels uncomfortable with fans' reactions, he simply doesn't know what to do about it.

"I've been grabbed by so many … like the amount of older, older women who are very (grabby. What can you do? You know? Obviously tell them not to do it. It hasn't happened for a while.

"In this day and age you'd think that people would be able to separate reality from fiction. I don't want to say it comes with the territory, but, you know, people are crazy about it. It's certainly not cool."

However, despite these shocking experiences, Portman still feels lucky to play the role saying: "It's really not a bad thing, to be tied to your character."

"It's the innocence, it's the honesty and the sweetness in a world where there isn't a lot of that. There's a lot of Machiavellian tactics and underhandedness, and to have a guy who is none of those things and is just as honest to the core and selfless and loyal... Pod has a real everyman quality and that's why people connect with him."
