Game of Thrones fans stunned by Arya and Gendry's 'weird, uncomfortable' sex scene

Warning: Spoilers ahead for Game of Thrones season 8, episode 2.

Game of Thrones fans have been left dazed and confused after a beloved character starred in a nude sex scene in the latest episode.

In Monday's episode, Arya Stark and her long-time friend Gendry had sex on the eve of war as Arya said: "We're going to die soon. I'd like to know what it's like before that happens".

Immediately, conflicted fans took to the internet to find some type of outlet for their discomfort, with many saying it was like watching their "little sister".

At once, thousands of fans took to Google to search the age of Maisie Williams who plays Arya, with Google Trends showing a massive spike in searches around 9.30pm in the US.

One fan wrote on Twitter: "Call me crazy, but it felt so weird watching Arya's sex scene. I don't know but I always see her as my little sister and I was so uncomfortable during that scene."

Another simply added: "An Arya sex scene is something I could have lived without".

While another mused: "The sex scene between Arya and Gendry felt a bit weird. Feels like they rushed the romance too quick."

However, others were over the moon that the pair "finally" got together after sharing chemistry early on in the series.

One fan wrote: "Arya and Gendry FINALLY together."

And another pointed out: "Arya is 18, in full control and making a choice. She's having probably the least weird, and most empowering consensual interaction in the whole show. Ever. EVER".
