When Jon Snow died at the end of season five, we were all in denial.
Surely Game of Thrones wouldn't actually kill off the show's hero; even though they'd done it several times already.
It turns out then President of the United States Barack Obama felt the same as therest of the world when the plot twist was aired in 2015, interrogating director David Nutter about Snow's untimely death when the pair ran into each other at a party, reports news.com.au.
"He turned to me, put his hand on my shoulder, and said, 'you didn't kill Jon Snow did you? You keep killing off my favourite characters!'" Nutter recalled.
Of course we all know now Snow is very much alive, Melisandre resurrecting him at the beginning of season six. But Nutter did not want to take the chance of easing Obama's woes to inform him of his favourite character's impending return.
But Kit Harington — who plays Snow — was not happy being deceitful, saying: "That was not my favourite season, telling all those lies and hiding from everyone."

HBO just released its second full-length Game of Thrones trailer dubbed "Aftermath", which basically hinted that everyone dies.
None of the characters are featured in it. Just Winterfell completely destroyed, with possessions belonging to all of our favourite heroes scattered among the abandoned snowy battlefield.
The network has also released a new GoT poster that shows all of the characters' lifeless bodies forming the shape of the Iron Throne. They captioned it: "The great war was here."
