The end is nigh for Game Of Thrones, according to the creators of the TV show.
David Benioff and D.B. Weiss say they already know how the hit fantasy series will conclude, and are quickly moving towards the end as they write the next season of the show.
"We've gota very definitive idea of how much longer it is, and we're getting there. We've just started writing episodes for season six. I think we're heading into the home stretch. Hopefully, we'll have a clear answer soon," Benioff told Variety.
While the pair know they're on to a good thing and that they could go on making the hit show for quite a while, it seems they want to get out while the going is still good and leave the Game of Thrones party on a high.
"We could go another four years - and we could come up with good stories - but the one thing that really got us excited when we pitched this to HBO was that this isn't just a regular series. It's a real story with a beginning, a middle and an end," Benioff said.
"We know what the end is, and we're barreling toward it," Benioff told the publication.
It's not the best news for the millions of loyal Game of Thrones fans, who are currently rejoicing in the drama's recent return to TV screens.
The creators also revealed the current season five is still based on George R.R. Martin's books, season six will deviate somewhat from his writing.
However, when it comes to the ending the creators still consult with Martin and the conclusion could still change.

"We've had a lot of conversations with George, and he makes a lot of stuff up as he's writing it. Even while we talk to him about the ending, it doesn't mean that that ending that he has currently conceived is going to be the ending when he eventually writes it," Benioff told Variety.
The pair also said they had to answer correctly one particularly tricky question before winning Martin's blessing to create the show.
"We had become instantly and genuinely obsessed with his books to the point where we knew lots and lots about the minutia of them - and then he asked us the question about Jon Snow's parentage. Maybe if we had gotten it wrong, he would have let us do it anyway," Benioff said.
Season five of Game of Thrones returned to TV screens on Monday.
