Game of Thrones actor Alfie Allen reveals what we can expect in season seven

Fans desperately counting down the days until Game of Thrones season seven have been thrown some little teasers to tide them over.

Alfie Allen, who plays Theon Greyjoy in the hit HBO series, recently took to fan website Watchers on the Wall to spill some secrets from the new season, and warn viewers that this is going to be the darkest one yet.

According to Allen, it will be "more of the same, but better" - but with "more dragons, more torture!"

Given that his character only recently escaped years of torturous captivity at the hands of creepy villain Ramsay Bolton, it's understandable that he'd still be a little nervy when he returns to our screens.

"[Theon is] skittish and full of fear - and then that can kind of, I guess, evolve into rage, which you might see ... who knows?" Allen teased cryptically.

He also hinted that we'd be seeing some kind of redemption when questioned about whether Theon would run into his 'brother' Jon Snow, played by Kit Harington.

"I would say [Theon] would feel horrible. He'd feel awful ... and he'd see it as a chance to redeem himself."

Pictures have already leaked from the set of season seven, giving away a major spoiler.

As Watchers on the Wall first pointed out, the blurry images show two major characters, Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen, finally meeting for the first time.

Fans are hoping that means he will join forces with Daenerys to overthrow the newly crowned queen of Westeros, Cersei, and then take on the mysterious and terrifying White Walkers - but we guess you'll have to watch this space.
