Oh, the scandal!

Kelsey Grammer

is expecting his fifth child with new girlfriend

Walsh's father, soccer coach

Alan Walsh

, confirmed the pregnancy to the

Mail

yesterday, saying that both he and his wife are delighted with the news.

"It's great news and we are very pleased for them both," he said. "I don't know how long they have been together and I have not met him yet, but I'm looking forward to it.

"We just found out about her pregnancy a couple of days ago. I think they met in New York socially because she works for Virgin Airways and often stops over in America. The main thing is for them both to be happy and they are - they have just hit it off together."

Kelsey filed for divorce from his third wife, former Playboy model

Camille Donatacci

on July 1, citing "irreconcilable differences". Donatacci is seeking primary custody of their eight-year-old daughter

Mason

, and son

Snitches

tell the NY Post

that Grammer is "pushing for a quickie divorce", because his new romance is steaming along nicely.

"There is speculation that she is pregnant, but he wants to finalise the divorce before making any announcement," the snitch added.

Grammer had previously vehemently denied that he was dating anyone following his split.

Responding to a rumour that he was seen "smooching" with a mystery dirty blonde in New York, he said, "A rumour from the 'bottom of the barrel set' has surfaced about me and a dirty blond at a restaurant in NYC. It was April and we were seen smooching at Five Napkin Burger.

"The dirty blond was my daughter

Spencer

, who was visiting that entire month. I do take issue with the characterisation that we were smooching but surely if that were the case then even I admit it might be newsworthy in some fashion."

On July 5, Grammer denied he was seeing someone else, writing on Twitter, "Certainly, the time will come when I do see another woman."

Of Grammer's new lady, a snitch added: "Kayte is a great girl, Kelsey is besotted with her, they are spending all their time together."

I bet they are. Oh, the scandal!

Asked for comment on the pregnancy, Grammer's rep said, "Kelsey did not discuss it with me," adding, "They are very happy together."

And you know what, that's what it all boils down to. If they're happy, bingo!

Shock pregnancy

Alanis Morissette

says her pregnancy was a total shock to her.

The singer, who got married three months ago, made the announcement in

Us

magazine this week, listing "I am pregnant!" as the last item in a '25 Things You Don't Know About Me' feature.

Speaking about her pregnancy on US TV this week, she said, "I talked to my doctor and he basically said, 'This looks like the screen of a pregnant lady,'" she told

"And I said, 'There's still a chance that I'm not though, yes?' And he said, 'About as likely as my getting a sex change.'" She continued. "And I said, 'So, when are you getting your sex change?!'"

Mariah Carey for Idol?

So

Jennifer Lopez

has been shoved as a possible replacement judge on American Idol. Word at the water cooler says she dropped some major diva-tude and made a whole slew of outlandish demands before she'd ink a deal. But it backfired; studio Fox told her where to shove it!

Now that J-Lo's reportedly out of the equation,

Mariah Carey

's sniffing around and says she'd love the job.

Her hubby,

Nick Cannon

I don't know if she has enough time, though, but if they could work with her schedule, I know she would love to do 'Idol.' Let's start the campaign!"

Oh, let's not.

Jennifer Aniston 'destructive to society'

I'm sure she's been called many things, but destructive to society?

American television host

Bill O'Reilly

has sounded off on

Aniston

after she remarked that women don't need a man to start a family or be a good mother.

Aniston made the comments while promoting her new film

The Switch

earlier this week.

"Women are realising more and more that you don't have to settle, they don't have to fiddle with a man to have that child," Aniston said.

"They are realizing if it's that time in their life and they want this part they can do it with or without that." In Switch, Aniston plays a woman who takes on the role of single parent through artificial insemination.

Now

O'Reilly

has taken issue with Jen's comments.

"She's throwing a message out to 12-year-olds and 13-year-olds that, 'Hey you don't need a guy. You don't need a dad," he said on

The O'Reilly Factor

. "That is destructive to our society."

He added: "Jennifer Aniston can hire a battery of people to help her. But she can't hire a dad. Dads bring a psychology to children that in this society is under emphasised. Men get hosed all day long in the parental arena."

Hold the phone, the perpetual pouty one is not up the duff. Despite reports by a certain Aussie mag that

Victoria Beckham

is about to add to her brood, a rep says the pregnancy talk is utter "nonsense".

Asked by

recently if she fancied adding to her brood, she said, "Everybody keeps asking me that. But three boys? That's a lot."

George Michael

has been charged with drug possession and driving while unfit through drink or drugs.

The troubled Wham! singer was busted last month after he ploughed his Range Rover into the storefront of a one-hour photo shop in London in the wee hours of the morning. Yes, a true Kodak moment!

's got herself a new tattoo on her neck. This latest stamp reads, "rebelle fleur," which means "rebel/rebellious flower" in French.

Technically, the tatt should read "fleur rebelle." In French, adjectives typically follow nouns they modify. Meaning RiRi's tatt currently reads "flower rebellious". Love it, I bet she could be deadly with a bunch of daffodils!
