We trawl through the gossip mags, so you don't have to.

Breathless bride's big day

Over the weekend local star couple, TV and radio personality Laura McGoldrick and Black Cap Martin Guptill, tied the knot.

Despite the rain it turned out to be a lovely event with a star-studded guest list including Matt Heath, Jeremy Wells, Alison Mau, Jamie Ridge and Josh Bloxham, with TV legend Jason Gunn hosting the reception.

However things could have turned bad for the bride on her big day. McGoldrick revealed to the mag that she was about go unconscious with nerves before the ceremony had even started.

"I'm a bit of a drama queen at the best of times," McGoldrick told New Idea. "I thought I was going to pass out while I was waiting in the car. I just kept telling myself to breath."

Luckily McGoldrick made it down the alter to meet her "Guppy" (Guptill), who reportedly "got pretty emotional" himself and had to wipe away tears of joy at the sight of his bride.

Chocolate - Nigella's new drug of choice

Nigella Lawson really went through the ringer last year, divorcing her allegedly abusive husband Charles Saatchi and scandal around her drug use.

However, Woman's Weeky says Lawson's trip to Aotearoa helped sooth the foody during her troubled times.

A friend of Lawson's shared that "flying over to New Zealand (in May) for the Whittaker's ad shooting in Wellington was a bit of a turning point for Nigella as she'd initally been excluded from the States."

Lawson herself has been trying to put her past behind her and enjoy the little things in life. "I've been eating a lot of chocolate" Lawson revealed. "I've been able to take pleasure from things again."

Hope you enjoy that dairy-milk Whittakers, Nigella. #omnomnom

Bey-baby sister for Blue?

Rumours are swirling that Beyonce is pregnant with her second child. Husband Jay Z hinted that the Drunk In Love singer could be pregnant after dropping the line "pregnant with another one" during a live performance of Beach is Better in Paris.

A source claimed that "number two is one the way" for Beyonce and Jay-Z.

However, Woman's Day has reported that other sources insist the singer isn't pregnant and point out that a baby bump is yet to be seen. Beyonce has also been spotted partying and drinking alcohol after her show.

Baby news may be up in the air for now, but friends close to the Irreplaceable hit maker say that Queen Bey "would love a little sister for Blue".

Little one on the way for Seven Sharp star

One pregnancy that can be confirmed is that of Seven Sharp host Toni Street.

Street and her daughter Juliette, who is soon to be a big sister, feature on the cover of Women's Day. Street told the magazine that she is relieved to finally share her happy news.

Co-host Mike Hosking was one of the first to find out. Street was forced to disclose the news after Hosking turned up to a party with a big bottle of wine for the host. "I had to let him in on the secret - he'd have thought I was rude for not having any (wine)!"

Street has also told Women's Day that she has been binging on salty McDonald's fries to cure her nausea. After a McD's staff member recognised the Seven Sharp host at the counter, an embarrassed Street confessed that "I'm pregnant, that's why you've been seeing me so much lately!" adding to Women's Day: "Hopefully I will start feeling better soon and can wean myself off the fries."

Cruise to the rescue

According to New Idea actress Katie Holmes is in dire straights financially and has turned to her ex-hubby, Tom Cruise, to bail her out. After failed fashion ventures Holmes has resorted to selling her stocks from her clothing line, Holmes & Yang on eBay.

A source reports that "Katie has been worried about money for a while, but she was always too proud to ask for Tom's help until now."

It seems the Dawson's Creek star as gotten too used to the lavish A-lister lifestyle. It could be time to start cutting down on personal trainers and $4 million houses.

In the mean time baby-daddy Cruise will supposedly come to the rescue. "Of course Tom will help her - not just because she's the mother of his child but because he has a lot of love and generosity in his heart towards Katie" said and insider.

Well, that's a relief.
