First look at Cara Delevingne in Face Of An Angel

It is billed as Cara Delevingne's major big-screen debut.

And, finally, the trailer for Michael Winterbottom's new film, The Face of An Angel, has emerged for public viewing.

A near two-minute-long clip of the official thriller was unveiled and has already gone global in a pre-release publicity blitz.

In the first official motion picture preview, the clip shows shows considerable coverage of the 22-year-old model, who plays a character called Melanie.

The cover star features alongside comparative acting veteran Kate Beckinsale in the gritty psychological thriller, and both are seen with co-star Daniel Brühl.

Clearly trading on her recent Elle Style Awards win, her debut performance is emblazoned with the accolade she picked up, last month.

Winterbottom's new film draws heavily on the real life case of Meredith Kercher, a 21-year-old exchange student from the University of Leeds who was murdered while studying in Perugia in 2007.

Kercher's body was found in the bedroom of the ground floor flat she shared with American Amanda Knox and her Italian boyfriend Rafaelle Solecito at Via della Pergola 7.

Knox, Solecito and friend Rudy Guede were arrested for the murder, with Guese later sentenced to 30-years imprisonment for sexual assault and murder.

While Knox and Solecito were also sentenced to 26 and 25-years respectively, both were released upon appeal.

British star Sai Bennett - best known for her role as Jessie in Mr. Selfridge - plays Elizabeth Pryce, the character loosely based on Meredith, while Genevieve Gaunt plays Jessica, a role based on Knox.

The film is Delevingne's first big film role and will see her as a fun loving student who introduces filmmaker Thomas to the local youth scene.
