A teaser trailer for the new TV show Dirty Laundry.
TVNZ has screened the first trailer for its new drama series Dirty Laundry, and will be hoping those at home warm to it more than its most recent local drama.
The new show is from the same makers of TV2's Filthy Rich, which wrapped up last night after delivering mediocreratings.
The former Shortland Street star's new character is arrested and sent to jail, leaving her family shocked and struggling to fend for themselves.
The story comes from the co-creator of Outrageous Fortune and has already raised eyebrows for its similarities to the successful TV3 series.
Last night's trailer, shown straight after Filthy Rich, gave viewers a sneak peak of the moment Donna is apprehended, with a policeman telling her she was being arrested for "fraud, money-laundering and tax evasion".
Dirty Laundry received $6.7 million in funding from NZ On Air.
The Rafferty family is made up of daughter Kat, played by Go Girls actress Tai Berdinner-Blades, son Matt (Tim Carlsen) and daughter Bianca (Victoria MacCulloch).
Other cast members include Robbie Magasiva, Pana Hema Taylor, Ilona Rogers and newcomer George Ferrier.

Earlier this year, Ward-Lealand told the Herald on Sunday that she was "absolutely loving" working on Dirty Laundry.
"It has a great cast, terrific writing, a super production team and the opportunity to go on an interesting character journey - what more can an actor ask for?
"I can't wait to see how things develop as we learn more about Donna's complicated family life.
"I'm pretty sure there are some surprises in store."
The show will air on TV One later this year, but TVNZ has not yet released a date.
