making matches in a "Maori way".
It's billed as a fun new dating show - "think Tinder on television" - in which love is placed in the hands of the single person's friends and whanau, because presumably they're the people with your best interests at heart.
The whanau panel is presented with two potential matches based on likes, dislikes and age. They then choose the person their loved one will date.
