Filming begins Alexander McCall Smith's bestselling book The No.1 Ladies' Detective Agency is being turned into a movie on location in Botswana, the film's producer says.
Award-winning British director Anthony Minghella and his crew arrived this week for the shooting of the movie, to be carried out inGaborone, the Okavango Delta and the Kalahari Desert, producer Amy Moore said.
US R&B diva Jill Scott has been selected to play the lead role of Mma Precious Ramotswe in the movie, Moore said.
