Explicit Ellen Page shower scene 'illegally hacked'

Explicit images from a nude shower scene involving Ellen Page have been released online after a Playstation game featuring the Hollywood star was "illegally hacked".

The Juno star has a lead role in the recent Playstation 3 release Beyond: Two Souls as Jodie Holmes, a super spy with spiritual links to an entity called Aiden.

During the game, Holmes' rendered character is seen taking a shower - but the scene is edited so there is little nudity involved.

But IGN reports that a gamer "illegally hacked" into the game's debug menu and changed camera angles in the scene so full body nudity could be seen.

Photos of the explicit scenes have been posted online, IGN reported.

Sony released a statement to Cinema Blend that said the girl in the scene "isn't actually Page's body" and called the release "very damaging".

"The images are from an illegally hacked console and is very damaging for Ellen Page. It's not actually her body.

"I would really appreciate if you can take the story down to end the cycle of discussion around this," the statement said.

Page is known for a having a strict no nudity attitude in her Hollywood movies, which include X-Men: The Last Stand, Whip It and Inception.
