He's done a lot of stuff
As well as superyachts, Mauger has managed bars and worked as a personal trainer. But his latest career turn is as an actor, starring in two episodes of Outrageous Fortune spin-off Westside as Rod Nugent, a dodgy second-hand goods dealer. He's also set to star in the show's second season, debuting on TV3 later this year.
What this means for the Bachelorettes: He's well rounded but might be out of work for months at a time.
He's a car nut, and a property investor
Mauger saved enough working on superyachts to buy a Mustang, which he had shipped back to New Zealand. He also owns property in Auckland with his Westside co-star Will Hall.
What this means for the Bachelorettes: Top down Sunday drives, of course.
He's a water baby
His tasks for his super-rich customers included wealthy exploits like wakeboarding, jetskiing, snorkelling and scuba diving. There was also a lot of cleaning involved, so he's not afraid to get his hands dirty.

He's a charmer
You wouldn't last on yachts if you can't talk the talk, says Mauger. "It's all about who you are," he says. "You could be the best navigator or yacht maintainer in the world but if you're an arsehole you won't last two weeks. You've got to live, socialise and work with everyone on board."
What this means for the Bachelorettes: He's a chiseled-chin charmer. Prepare to be wooed.
