Ed Sheeran has sparked a flurry of chatter after hinting that he has secretly tied the knot with fiancée Cherry Seaborn in a new interview with Access.
During his chat with the US TV show, the 27-year-old British singer appeared to admit he would "never do anything public" if he
married his long-term partner, blushing as he pointed to a ring on his wedding finger.
And now his father John has added further weight to talk that the lovebirds are already living as husband and wife, as he refused to confirm or deny whether his son has exchanged nuptials with Cherry, 26.
When asked on Tuesday if he had seen the filmed interview in which his son hinted at having already tied the knot, 61-year-old art historian and lecturer John responded: "I haven't actually."
Speaking from his detached home in Framlingham, Suffolk, he added: "I'm very sorry, I can't say anything. We try and keep as anonymous as possible for obvious reasons. I do apologise, but I just don't give interviews on anything like that.
