Dancing With The Stars raised less than $75,000 for charity this year, with winner Simon Barnett raising the most money, earning $30,706 for the Salvation Army.
It's a far cry from the series' glory days, when it raised more than $400,000 in 2009.
According to TVNZ, which broadcast the seriesbetween 2005 and 2009, the competition raised $1.75 million for New Zealand charities throughout its time on the network.
However, figures released by MediaWorks show this year's return to the dance floor raised just $74,667.54.
Text votes cost 99c, equating to around 75,422 votes cast throughout the 10-week series.
