Drake Bell was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence (DUI).
The former Nickelodeon star was pulled over at 2.18am by police in Glendale, California, for straddling a lane, travelling at an unsafe speed and abruptly stopping at a red light.
Glendale Police spokesperson Tahnee Lightfoot said officers "smelled
an odour of alcohol" on the 29-year-old actor so administered a sobriety test, which Drake "did not satisfactorily complete".
Drake - who was travelling alone - was placed under arrest and was released on a citation after posting $20,000 in bail.
This is not the first time the actor has caused a scandal this year.
