Filming for season five of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is paused after alleged domestic abuse between main star Taylor Frankie Paul and her ex, Dakota Mortensen.
“They are not filming,” an unnamed source told People. “Taylor has some pretty serious stuff happening regarding her past, and they willsee what happens. Until that resolves, they are off.”
Season four was released March 12.
Draper City Police Department told People there was an open domestic assault investigation between the two, “saying allegations have been made in both directions”.
She made headlines in 2022 when she revealed she and her husband at the time, Tate Paul, had been “soft-swinging” with other Mormon couples. Soft-swinging involves couples kissing and sometimes oral sex, but stops short of intercourse.
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives started as a reality television series following a group of Utah-based TikTok influencers, known as “MomTok,” as they deal with the fallout from the scandal.
The same year, Taylor Frankie Paul and Tate Paul separated after she broke the rules of their open marriage and slept with Mortensen.
A source close to the cast of the show said other members of MomTok are distancing themselves from her.
“None of the women want to be associated with her,” the source told People.

She was arrested in 2023 for domestic abuse against Mortensen. She was charged with aggravated assault, domestic violence in the presence of a child causing injury, child abuse and criminal mischief, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
She pleaded guilty to aggravated assault and the rest of the charges were dismissed.
Last September she spoke about the topic during an interview with Alex Cooper on the Call Her Daddy podcast.
She said charges “were all dropped”, saying “I never had hurt my daughter. I never intentionally did anything with my children.”
Paul is the star of the latest The Bachelorette – now in its 22nd season – and aired its first episode last week.
“I’ve been criticised, I’ve been judged and I’ve been rejected,” Paul said in a teaser for The Bachelorette.
“But anyone that takes the time to know me will see that I’m actually a genuine person and I mean well and a person that deserves another chance at love.”
