The busy start to next year just got more crazy with the news San Francisco band the Dodos (pictured) play four dates in New Zealand, including the Kings Arms on January 10 and Leigh Sawmill the night after.
The acoustic clatter and percussion heavy songs on the Dodos'
latest album, Visiter makes it one of the most striking and unique albums of the year. And as far as psychedelic folk rock goes it's up there with, if not a little noisier than, the Fleet Foxes who also tour here in early January.
Tickets to the Dodos are on sale today from Ticketmaster.
South African rockers Seether play at Vector Arena on November 8 and have bolstered the bill by adding locals Autozamm, Corvino and Eqwanox to the line-up.
Tickets to Seether on sale now from Ticketmaster.
Meanwhile, Chicago hardcore punk band Rise Against return to New Zealand next year in support of fifth album Appeal to Reason. The band bring their fiery brand of politically and socially charged punk and hardcore to Auckland's Powerstation on March 31. Tickets are on sale October 24 from Ticketmaster.
And former Zed frontman Nathan King follows up the release of his debut solo album The Crowd with a show at St Matthews in the City in Auckland on November 19 at 8pm. Tickets on sale today from Ticketmaster.
