DJ Khaled gets lost at sea and Snapchats the whole thing

DJ Khaled was briefly lost at sea, an ordeal he snapchatted and live tweeted to his millions of social media followers.

The music producer was rescued shortly after becoming stranded in what appears to be Miami harbour, as night slowly closed in.

He has tweeted to reassure fans of his safety, advising people: "Never try to drive jet skies at night and especially if your lost at sea, bless up."

Wise words.

An earlier Snapchat, taken before the sun went down, shows Khaled on a jetski and the caption "Ride wit me through the journey of more success."

The snap is typical of Khaled, who is known online for his inspirational and somewhat nonsensical motivational messages about securing fame and money.

However things took a turn, with Khaled posting a series of snaps taken in the now dark and empty ocean, telling people if they knew him to "call zay zee tell her we lost."

Ever the optimist, Khaled refused to give up hope.

Twitter users, many of whom were genuinely worried for the some-time rapper's safety, collectively lost it over the event.

Others noted how, even in danger, Khaled's first priority seemed to be his social media presence.

Although it was not immediately clear how he was rescued, Khaled has made it safely to shore, according to his official Twitter account.
