Dinosaur Jr plan repeat New Zealand visit

Dinosaur Jr will visit New Zealand in January for a one-off show.

J Mascis and his reunited 90s rock act Dinosaur Jr will visit New Zealand in the New Year for a one-off show.

Now into their fourth decade, the Massachusetts trio of J Mascis, Lou Barlow and Murph will perform at The Studio in Auckland on January 23.

They'll be playing on the back of their well-received new album Give A Glimpse of What Yer Not, their 11th record released in August.

They were last here for a Powerstation show in 2013, a concert that came with plenty of feedback and delivered at raucous volumes.

Tickets are on sale via Ticketmaster from September 14.
