Beleaguered star Mel Gibson's week has officially gone from bad to hell on toast.

As the 'he said-she said' war of words rumbles on with estranged Russian baby mamma, Oksana Grigorieva, Gibson has allegedly been caught on tape screaming expletive-filled, racial and misogynistic slurs against his former lady.

The series
of explosive rants were allegedly caught on tape, the transcripts of which have been published by gossip website RadarOnline

The tapes were reportedly secretly recorded by Grigorieva before the pair engaged in a bitter custody dispute, involving allegations that Gibson physically abused her and knocked out her teeth.

In the shocking tapes a man, purported to be Gibson, can be heard screaming abusive and disgusting obscenities at a woman, believed to be Grigorieva.

Be warned, some of the quotes below are graphic.

"You're an embarrassment to me!" yells the man.

"You look like a f*****g pig in heat, and if you get raped by a pack of n*****s, it will be your fault."

In a separate rant, the male voice can be heard allegedly telling Grigorieva: "How dare you act like such a bitch when I have been so f*****g nice."

He continues: "I am going to come and burn the f*****g house down..."

The man is also heard calling the woman a "whore" and a "c***."

TMZ.com says the tapes have been submitted to the judge in their custody battle and are under seal.

Sources say the tapes were recorded in May, when the pair reached a custody agreement over their daughter, Lucia.

A source tells Radar Online that Grigorieva is hoping that she will be able to use the recordings as ammunition against Gibson in court.

"Oksana's motivation for recording this was to show Mel how mean he was, and because she feared for her life," said the source.

"She wanted to get evidence that he was dangerous and violent."

Grigorieva obtained a restraining order against Gibson last week, alleging he'd been physically violent with her.

Gibson also filed his own restraining order against his ex, prohibiting her from revealing details of their relationship and from speaking about certain aspects of their case.

The Braveheart star's camp has vehemently denied the abuse allegations.

Gibson and Grigorieva went their separate ways in April after a year together. Rather ominously, Grigorieva said at the time: "We have split up, suddenly and recently ... Unfortunately, I cannot give you the reason. But you will find out everything quite soon."

Gibson's pottymouth has caught up with him before. After cops arrested him in 2006 on suspicion of DUI, he launched into an anti-Semitic tirade at the arresting officer.

"F*****g Jews ... The Jews are responsible for all the wars in the world," Gibson allegedly said at the time.

Gibson's rep tells TMZ he "could not confirm the credibility or accuracy of the tapes." The website maintains they are authentic.

If they do turn out to be the real deal, there won't be any bouncing back after this one, Gibson.

Oh, and in related news, Gibson's publicist just resigned. No, not really. But here's a countdown: 10, 9, 8...

Crocodile tears

Tongues are wagging that Chris Brown's tears during an emotional tribute to Michael Jackson at the BET were a total fake.

Was he genuinely overcome with emotion, or was he merely angling for some potential career rehabilitation?

A backstage snitch tells Us Weekly that Brown was handed some tear-inducing eye drops right before he took to the stage to sing Man in the Mirror.

"He rubbed it in and he started crying," says the source.

No prizes for guessing what his rep thought of the pesky report. "Completely untrue. He was moved by the opportunity to pay tribute to his idol."

Watch his performance below and tell me what do you think?
