Beyonce's father has fed into rumours about her real birth date after announcing in an interview that his daughter is the same age as fellow performer, Pink.
However tough pop rocker, Pink, was born two years prior to Beyonce's widely accepted birth date, in September 1979.
Matthew Knowles also putUsher in the same age bracket, but he was born in 1978, putting him three years ahead.
The date widely recognised as Beyonce's Birthday is September 4, 1981 making her 34, but conspiracy theories suggest she could be as old as 41.
In the recent interview with The Breakfast Club on New York's Power 105.1, Knowles stated all three singers competed for fame growing up - saying they were 14 or 15 about the same time.
"[Destiny's Child] had a competitiveness, LA had a girls group.... I bet you don't know who is the lead singer though... Pink!," he told the radio station.
"She was the exact same age as Beyonce and there used to be this battle about which group was better. You had Usher, he was the same age. They were all 14 or 15 years old living in Atlanta."
Neither Beyonce or her representatives have made any statement to quell the controversy.
