Skulander, a former Rotorua Lakes High School student, said the band had been travelling a lot with their music, including in Australia, the United Kingdom, Germany and California.
"We are starting to get international recognition now which is cool."
Their travels included a nine-date tour in February and March in the United Kingdom and Germany.
"It was really good, we got a lot of good feedback."
She said a highlight was a show in London at a venue called The Underworld, attended by a lot of Kiwi fans.
She said Germany was "really cool" and different, with a visit to the site of the Berlin Wall a highlight.
"There's so much history there. It was mind blowing," she said.
"I really enjoyed Germany, it was really cool, even though a lot of people didn't speak English."
Skulander was pregant during the tour, recording of the new album and doing the music video for Pray - she is due in two weeks.
Despite the demands of a new baby, Devilskin will perform Vector Arena in Auckland on November 18 followed by an album release tour around New Zealand.
Over the last year the band has also performed at the Vodafone Music Awards, at which they received a number of nominations, and Homegrown in Wellington.
Skulander's advice to those looking to enter the music industry is not to give up and keep going.
"These days you've got the power of social media, push your music out there as much as you can."
She said Devilskin just kept doing what they did and were building more and more of a fan base around the country.
"You never know who's out there watching the band, so just keep at it."
