Michael Buble has reportedly put his singing career on hold to focus on his son Noah's recovery from liver cancer.
The singer, 41, is said to be in a "huge bubble" and prioritising his three-year-old's treatment - which allegedly includes four months of chemotherapy.
"He will not sing again until his child is well, I'm certain of it," Michael's friend and Canadian musician David Foster told Entertainment Tonight Canada on Thursday.
The musician added: "Right now he's in a huge bubble, as you would expect."
"When this happens, everything shuts down around you. You go inside your little bubble and I don't think he's looking at social media.
"I'm sure he feels the love from millions of people."
Commenting on Michael's mental state, David added that the Canadian singer was in "good shape" and relying on the doctors around him.

Luisana's elder sister Daniela told the magazine on Tuesday: "If God wanted it to be discovered that way, it's because he wants to save Noah.
"Cancer is a horrible illness but we have faith in Noah being able to overcome this.
"We know he will. The time to start a long and very difficult treatment has come but it's got to be done.
"They say children are normally strong to put up with chemotherapy and my nephew is a warrior."
Argentinian media had speculated Noah was suffering mumps when Luisana, 29, flew to the States at the end of last month.
She had been preparing to start filming an English-language movie called Numb, At The Edge Of The End, alongside Harvey Keitel and Hayden Christensen.
Detailing the events leading up to Noah's cancer diagnosis, confirmed in a statement released by Michael and his wife last week, Gente said: 'She took her son to the Otamendi Miroli Hospital in Buenos Aires because he had a high fever.
"After an exhaustive examination, they ruled out mumps and suggested two possibilities, a throat infection or mononucleosis.
"To rule out the second possibility they had to carry out a battery of tests which included an abdominal ultrasound.
"On October 27, after a throat swab, they confirmed he had a throat infection and not mononucleosis but the ultrasound had detected a liver problem.
"The doctors told Luisana, 'He has a stain on his liver, but it's not got different tones and therefore it's probably benign but we have to continue with the tests.''
Michael, who was working in London, is said to have told his wife to seek a second opinion in LA and Luisana flew to the States on October 29 with their nine-month-old son Elias and her parents.
Luisana's sister, a nutritionist and part-time actress, told Gente: "It was there they discovered something wasn't right.
"We have very good specialists but for personal and family reasons, Michael and my sister decided to fly to the States."
The magazine said they were told after the devastating November 1 cancer diagnosis that Noah would need chemo and the possibility of surgery afterwards to remove the tumour - but his chances of beating it were 90 per cent.
Michael and his wife of five years confirmed their son had cancer on the singer's Facebook page last week.
They said in a statement: "We are devastated about the recent cancer diagnosis of our oldest son Noah who is currently undergoing treatment in the US.
"We have always been very vocal about the importance of family and the love we have for our children.
"Luisana and I have put our careers on hold in order to devote all our time and attention to helping Noah get well."
Asking for people's prayers, the statement added: "We have a long journey in front of us and hope that with the support of family, friends and fans around the world, we will win this battle, God willing."
Daniela confirmed at the end of last week the youngster did not have leukemia as she admitted the entire family were "broken in half".
She is preparing to fly to LA in the next few days to be with her nephew, Luisana and their parents Eduardo and Betty.
Telling Gente how Noah was doing, she said: "He has the innocence of children and that is good. He doesn't understand too much what is happening.
"The love people are showing is helping us to see things with optimism and we have a lot of faith.
The Canadian musician and the Argentinian actress and model welcomed their second son, Elias, into the world in January.
Last week, Bublé appeared on an hour-long show, pre-recorded for the BBC in Salford last month.
In Bublé At The BBC, the singer told host Claudia Winkleman he "just didn't know that level of love existed".
He said of his sons: "I just love them so much that part of loving them so much is not giving them everything they want and that is a tough thing for me."
When asked about returning to work, he said it was "really tough", and that Noah did not want him to leave.
He said: "My son Noah is three, Eli eight months, and Noah said to me 'Poppy, for what are you going?' I said 'Well, daddy is going to go and sing'.
'And it kills you, he said: 'Please don't go, I will be a good boy', and I think I'm the worst human being in the universe.'
Earlier, Bublé's wife Luisana filmed young Noah singing.
The 41-year-old Canadian singer recently released an album, Nobody But Me.
Michael has previously described fatherhood as the best thing that has ever happened to him.
He said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight in October: "I love them more than I'll ever love anything, or anyone in the whole universe.
"I think it gave me perspective on life that I think I very badly needed. It's hard to be able to quantify that level of love.
"I didn't know that level of love existed. But it makes me better at everything. It allows me to pull more emotion and be more honest and to be in the moment.
"The only regret that I have in my life is that I took this long to have kids, because I had no idea the perspective it would give me. I had no idea how much I would love being a dad.
"That's it, that's all I care about ... I love them too much probably, if there was such a thing.
"It's made everything else so insignificant, moments that I was afraid of and moments that would overwhelm me have now become a joy because I see how not serious they are compared to what is really important, which is Noah and Eli and that's it."
Bublé, 41, has sold more than 40 million albums worldwide with his smooth covers of jazz standards and original songs.
He married Lopilato, 29, in 2011.
One fan posted a video on Facebook of the performer singing on stage with Noah in December 2015.
Actress Luisana toldPage Six earlier this year that the doting parents love nothing more than spending all their time with their boys.
"We are a little weird about our kids. We love to be with our kids a lot. When we are out for one hour, we miss them."
Bublé was due to perform at the BBC Music Awards in London's ExCel conference centre on December 12 but pulled out on Tuesday.
He would join Kaiser Chiefs, Emeli Sande and Lukas Graham on the line-up but radio DJ Steve Wright announced Buble's withdrawal on his BBC Radio 2 show.
Bob Shennan, director of BBC Music, said: "We send Michael and his family our very best wishes."
Michael is also due to host the Juno awards in Ottawa on April 2, 2017 and was expected to go on tour next year and do a Christmas special in Hollywood for NBC, according to www.cba.ca.
"Our thoughts and prayers are with Michael and his family during this difficult time. We are respecting his request for privacy, as such we cannot comment on his participation in the 2017 Juno Awards at this time," said a spokesperson for the Junos.
In June 2015, Noah sustained "serious burns" after an accident involving scalding water.
After a stay in hospital, Michael announced that his son was "happy and healthy on what turned out to be a great Canada day.
'We want to thank you for the love and concern you have shown for our little guy through this difficult time."
Michael was in the States when his wife rushed their son to Hospital Alemán in Buenos Aires on June 25.
According to Clarin.com, Noah suffered "six per cent burns from scalding water as a result of a domestic accident."
Luisana tweeted in her native tongue at the time of the accident: "My son is really well. God willing we'll be able to go home soon."
The next day, Michael told ET Canada: "He's okay. It's tough to see him go through it. I try to remind Lu that we are lucky. That it could have been worse."
Michael has had his own health problems this year, taking time out in the spring due to vocal cord surgery.
He said in May: "It will require a period of time for me to rest and recover. No talking or singing for awhile but my doctors expect a complete recovery," the singer- who boasts 11.8M followers - wrote in May.
