Demi Lovato wants Ed Sheeran to sing at wedding

Celebrity wedding singer Ed Sheeran has another big day booked for his calendar - Demi Lovato wants him to perform at her wedding.

Sheeran has become a regular at romantic occasions in recent weeks. Last month, he serenaded Little Mix star Jesy Nelson as she accepted a proposal from Rixton singer Jake Roche, and he also played Cupid for Kodaline bassist Jason Boland to propose to his girlfriend onstage during a show at Croke Park in Dublin, Ireland.

Then, on Monday, he celebrated pal Ronan Keating's wedding in Scotland by performing a hits medley dedicated to the groom and his new wife, Australian Storm Uechtritz.

And now Lovato, who is dating former That 70s Show actor Wilmer Valderrama, wants to book Sheeran to sing for her when she exchanges vows.

"I already told Christina Perri that she's playing at my wedding so probably her and I really want Ed Sheeran... and the list could go on and on," she told the BBC.

Lovato now has to wait for her boyfriend to propose, adding: "I'm just a little old-fashioned when it comes to that. You know I let him call the shots, I make a lot of decisions in my life so it's nice to kind of hand over the control to someone else."

The pop star received an early birthday present this week as she unveiled her new waxwork at Madame Tussauds in Hollywood.

The Cool For The Summer singer turns 23 on Thursday and just days before she was on hand to debut the figure made in her likeness at the popular California museum.

The waxwork is clad in an outfit from Lovato's 2014 world tour, complete with a microphone in hand.

For three months, a group of 20 artists meticulously worked on the statue, which is worth an estimated $300,000.
