Danny Brown is hosting a warm-up party for Tauranga's Bay Dreams festival

Danny Brown and Nao are heading to Tauranga to help warm up punters heading along to the Bay Dreams festival.

The pair have been named on the line-up for a pre-festival party being held on the main stage at ASB Baypark Arena on January 1.

Danny Brown will be playing on the back of his latest album Atrocity Exhibition, and it will be his only New Zealand show.

Nao, meanwhile, has become one of the year's breakout stars.

Other acts on the bill include The Black Seeds, Summer Thieves, State of Mind and Mana Lion.

They'll be warming up punters before the main act, Bay Dreams, kicks off in the same venue on January 2 featuring Machine Gun Kelly, DJ Snake, Foster The People, Flatbush Zombies and Pendulum.

Bay Dreams has quickly become New Zealand's biggest summer music festival, with 22,000 fans expected at the post-New Year's event.
