Dan Carter may not have been able to publicly speak out in support of his former Racing 92 team mate and bestie Ali Williams, during the big lock's infamous Paris cocaine bust, but Dan and wife Honor saw Williams and wife Casey off in style last week.
The foursome attended
a farewell dinner at the swanky Hotel de Crillon in Paris before the Williams family arrived back in Auckland last week.
Casey told Spy they couldn't talk openly at the time - magazine deal maybe? - but were juggling jet lag and life, enjoying the winter weather and were house-hunting.
The couple like the city-fringe western suburbs and will be thinking of good schools for daughters Jessica and Claudia.
Williams' cocaine scandal cost him his rugby role and he resigned from the children's charity, iSPORT he co-founded with fellow All Black greats Richie McCaw and Carter, who had his own brush with the law in France after allegedly being caught drink-driving in Paris earlier this year. Both men were quick to take to social media to apologise.
