Despite steady rain and occasional heavy bursts contract crews preparing the stagework and facilities for Saturday's big Dixie Chicks Mission Concert are on schedule.
"The boys are working on through the rain," Mission Estate Winery CEO Peter Holley said.
It was fortunate the heavy basework had been completed lastSaturday and Sunday, and they were now working on the "lighter" side of it, he said.
"It is certainly not ideal conditions for them to work in but they are getting through it despite the rain and they are on schedule."
Contractors work through the rain to prepare Mission Concert site.
Mr Holley said if there was one plus side to the two forecast days of rain it was the timing of it.
He and the concert organisers Sport and Entertainment Ltd had been closely monitoring the long-range forecasts for the region and concert time was looking good at this point.
"The positive side is it is forecast to be clearing through from mid-Thursday, Friday and Saturday - concert day looks to be good."
Clear skies and wind would take much of the damp spring out of the ground but he said moisture would still be about - on the grass and later in the evening in the air in the form of probable dew.
"It is a bit later in the season for the concert and we will likely see the onset of early dew so people need to have something warm to put on."
He also advised concertgoers to bring something waterproof to sit on and good, suitable shoes.
"It will not be an occasion for high heels."
Mission CEO Peter Holley said rain had not dampened the concert preparation schedule.

While the weather system driven by the remnants of Cyclone Debbie was a severe one the fine forecasts from Thursday on would ensure all would be on track for what Mr Holley said would be a spectacular concert.
The WeatherWatch forecast for Thursday is mainly sunny with gusty winds and a high of 22C.
Friday will be mainly cloudy but with sunny patches and 19C while Saturday is forecast to be mainly cloudy and 18C.
