Courtney Love is reportedly "not amused" at Paul McCartney jamming with the surviving members of Nirvana.
The Beatles musician will take the stage former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl, who is now a member of the Foo Fighters, and bassist Krist Novoselic, at the 12.12.12 Hurricane Sandy benefit concert at MadisonSquare Garden in New York City today.
Love, who was married to the band's frontman Kurt Cobain, told gossip site TMZ.com she was "not amused" at the pairing.
"Look, if John [Lennon] were alive it would be cool," she added.
Love was reportedly upset at Novoselic and Grohl calling tonight's show a Nirvana reunion as she believes Cobain was the heart and soul of band.
"[I phoned Dave and he invited me to come over and] jam with some mates," McCartney told British newspaper The Sun.
"I didn't really know who they were. They are saying how good it is to be back together. I said, 'Whoa? You guys haven't played together for all that time?
"And somebody whispered to me 'That's Nirvana. You're Kurt.' I couldn't believe it."
McCartney, Grohl and Novoselic will be sharing the stage with Jon Bon Jovi, Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel, Alicia Keys, Kanye West and The Rolling Stones.
The show is expected to make history as the most widely distributed live musical event ever, with two billion people around the globe expected to tune in to the fundraiser.
