Billed as an alternative to the now defunct Big Day Out, Laneway is spending its third year in its third location, with 2010's festival held in Britomart and the 2011 in Aotea Square.
This year's event promises to be bigger than ever, with an additional stage to host the boosted line-up of bands, which also includes Kiwi acts Opossom, Pajama Club, Shayne P Carter and Sherpa.
Here's a quick wrap of all the deets you need: Gates open at 12pm, the weather forecast is fine with a high of 23, food is allowed to be taken into the festival but liquids are banned, and pass outs will be available for a limited time in the evening.
The event is R18, there are three bars and food options include The Mexican Market, Langos Fried Bread, Nice Blocks, Bluebells Cakery, Piggys Pies, Cool Food, Fritz Wieners, Mexi Kai, Fresh Intergrative Therapy and Stumpys Woodfried Pizza.
Tickets haven't yet sold out but sources suggest they will by Monday.
And make sure you're dressed to impress. You don't want hipsters laughing at you for wearing your favourite Big Day Out T-shirt with three-quarter length shorts on the day.
