He released four Netflix stand-up specials to critical acclaim, but James Acaster will tour an all-new show when he visits New Zealand in May.
Acaster has been confirmed as one of the bigger names coming to take part in the New Zealand International Comedy Festival.
The British comic, known forRepertoire, his four-episode series of Netflix stand-up specials, will perform his new show Cold Lasagne Hate Myself 1999 on May 4, and from May 7-11, at Q Theatre.
He'll also appear as part of the Best Foods Comedy Gala at The Civic on May 2.
Other international names confirmed for the Comedy Festival, which will run from May 2-26 in Auckland and Wellington, include Scotland's Chris Henry, Ireland's Eleanor Tierman, UK's Jamali Maddix, The Chase's Paul Sinha and Londoner Tom Houghton.
Local faces set to make jaws hurt include 2018 Billy T Award winner Melanie Bracewell, as well as Angella Dravid, Alice Snedden, Ben Hurley, David Correos, Guy Montgomery and Urzila Carlson.
We'll also get repeat appearances from Ross Noble, Becky Lucas, Ed Byrne, Fern Brady, Phill Jupitus, Phil Nicols, and Joe Lycett, and visits from several Australian comics including Aaron Chen, Demi Lardner and Michelle Brasier are confirmed.
