Give us your best sales pitch. Why should we go to your show instead of Flight of the Conchords in July?
Anyone can buy a ticket to the Flight of the Conchords. It's a no-brainer. But the clever comedy goer will come to the Comedy Festival and see shows like mine at Comedy Festival prices which are a third of a Conchords ticket. So you don't need to save for anything. You can afford us both.
Is dying on stage a rite of passage for a comedian or something to be avoided at all costs?
It's not something that will happen because either way something has been achieved. I have no fear walking on to any stage. I'm prepared to go there and if that means "dying" then game on.
Are members of the audience fair game? Or should they be treated with respect at all times?
I don't take the piss out of audience members in some sort of "Where did you get your pullover? Granny?" kind of hack. I'm more likely to send up the premise of that idea. Respect them of course - they're my side kick/partner.
If you were a superhero who would you be?
Batman, as this would blow my son's mind.
For those of you who don't have a musical aspect to your show ... how do you compete with all those clever dicks offering the double whammy of musical comedy?
