Dr Who fans in Britain will be able to find out Matt Smith's successor in a live show on Monday morning.
The next Doctor will be revealed to the nation in a special one-off live television show. The actor will then give their first interview in front of a live studio audience, the Tardis and a few Daleks.
Previous Doctors and companions will also be present for the announcement, which will take place after feature clips and a potted history of the show's 50 years.
Matt Smith, who will step down from the role at the end of this year, will speak about what it takes to be the Doctor and showrunner Steven Moffat will explain what it means to take on one of the biggest roles in TV.
Moffat gave little away but said: "The decision is made and the time has come to reveal who's taking over the Tardis. For the last of the Time Lords, the clock is striking 12."
