Former Bachelorette Chrystal Chenery has spoken out against "misogynistic and downright crude" radio stunts.
In a Facebook post today, Chenery responded to criticism of the "cucumber challenge" on The Edge's Breakfast with Jay Jay, Mike and Dom.
She also spoke out against a segment on Radio Hauraki's breakfast show called "Penis or Genius" which featured Chenery in July.
The Hauraki segment takes a public figure and asks listeners to decide if they are a "penis" or a "genius" with hosts Matt Heath and Jeremy Wells each taking a side.
"Why are radio shows like this given air time when what they come up with is so misogynistic and downright crude?" Chenery wrote.
"Why would they think that they can be so offensive ... and then think they can use my image to promote their event or that I'd want to come along to their party?"
Chenery said she was later invited to Hauraki's "No Sleep Til Breakast" event, but refused.
"I'm certainly not going to associate with radio stations that come up with this sort of stuff," she said.
"And I really wish that the women on these shows wouldn't play along with it like it's ok. It's not ok."
"Some people say I should just let these things go but I think if we see something happening that's wrong it's up to all of us to say something about it."
The Edge breakfast hosts Dom and Jay Jay Harvey recently found themselves under fire when former Bachelor contestant Dani Robinson drew attention to their "cucumber challenge" in an interview with The Spinoff.
The segment, titled "What's your cucumber number", saw former Bachelorette contestants compete to see who could bite the largest piece off a cucumber, with the encouragement of hosts Dom and Jay Jay Harvey.
Earlier in the year, Dom Harvey was criticised for tweeting a screenshot of Chenery's crotch mid-dance, when she competed alongside his wife Jay Jay on Dancing With The Stars.
