Chris Cornell's widow Vicky has penned an emotional letter remembering her late husband, who died last week at the age of 52.
In the letter, published by Billboard magazine, Vicky calls Chris the "best father, husband and son-in-law," whose "patience, empathy and love always showed through."
"We had the timeof our lives in the last decade and I'm sorry, my sweet love, that I did not see what happened to you that night," she wrote.
"I'm sorry you were alone, and I know that was not you, my sweet Christopher... I'm broken, but I will stand up for you and I will take care of our beautiful babies."
The Soundgarden frontman took his own life on May 17 just hours after playing a show in Detroit. His body has been transported to Los Angeles ahead of a private service at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery on Friday.
