Having reunited after a 20-year absence, the popular band played two sold-out nights at Auckland's Mt Smart stadium last year.
Over 30,000 fans gathered for each night's show as the crowd delighted in singing along to 40 years of classic Eagles tunes such as Already Gone, The Best of My Love, Lyin' Eyes and One of These Nights.
The concert began with founders Glenn Frey and Don Henley playing early acoustic material. The rest of the band joined the two later to belt out their classic tunes.
In 1995, the Eagles performed at Auckland's Western Springs for their Hell Freezes Over Tour. The band played at Western Springs in 1978 and in January 1976 at Auckland's Carlaw Park.
Glenn Frey died at the age of 67 yesterday after battling multiple ailments.
"It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of our comrade, Eagles founder Glenn Frey in New York," the band's website said.
