Charlotte Ryan leaving bFM for Mediaworks

Charlotte Ryan is leaving bFM for a new job on Mediaworks stations KiwiFM and Radio Live.

The 9am-12pm host, whose magazine-style show is one of the most popular on the student radio station, announced her departure on Twitter this morning.

"Its time to pass on the reins & new adventures. Thank you for listening xx," she said.

Ryan said she is going to take over as Drive host on KiwiFM and will have a weekly show on Radio Live.

She will host a series of NZ On Air funded shows from early in the New Year.

Kiwi FM programme director Tim Homer said he was excited to have Ryan on his team.

"She's well respected within the music industry and that coupled with her music knowledge and passion will be valuable to Kiwi FM."

Metro Magazine named Ryan its 'best friend in radio' in 2010.

bFM has not yet announced her replacement.
