Charlie Puth will return to New Zealand for a headline show this spring.
Puth is bringing his Whatever’s Clever tour to Auckland later this year in his “most ambitious” series of shows yet.
He will play Spark Arena on November 5 off the back of a performanceat the Super Bowl and the release of his new album.
The multihyphenate musician said the tour “is going to be fun”, stating he feels “like I’ve worked and waited my entire career to put this sort of live show on for you all”.
“We have worked so hard to bring you the sort of top-level musicianship and arrangements that you all deserve in a live show, and I am beyond excited to bring my music and this incredible band and show to some of the most iconic rooms in the world.”
He rose to stardom in 2011 after appearing on an online singing competition.
He wrote the Grammy-nominated See You Again for Furious 7 in tribute to the late Paul Walker and co-wrote and produced Justin Bieber & the Kid Laroi’s number 1 charting Stay.
In 2024, Puth was in the spotlight when Taylor Swift released her track The Tortured Poet’s Department, which includes the lyric “we declared Charlie Puth should be a bigger artist”.
Fans on X were whipped into a frenzy when the album leaked online, sharing their surprise at the One Call Away hitmaker’s shoutout.
“WE DECLARED CHARLIE PUTH SHOULD BE A BIGGER ARTIST”???? GIRL,” one questioned.
