Charli XCX to be reunited with an award she lost when drunk

Singer Charli XCX has found an award she misplaced after a few drinks.

Charli XCX could be reunited with her NME Award after losing it last month.

The British pop star was presented with the Best British Solo Artist prize at the music ceremony at London's O2 Brixton Academy in February but she didn't have the trophy for longer than a few hours after she got drunk and lost it at the afterparty.

However, she has not lost hope of getting it back as a Twitter user, who has the prize, has been in touch about returning it.

"I had a really fun night and I partied so hard that I lost my award at the afterparty I went to," she tells Britain's OK! Magazine.

"Someone actually just got in touch with me on Twitter and said that they found it, so I think I'm going to be able to get it back."

During her interview, she also told OK! she thought reality singing competitions such as The X Factor are great television shows but not good for the contestants hoping to become credible artists.

"I think they're good TV. I'm a really big fan," she said. "I think Simon Cowell's empire is very admirable but I'm not sure that format is the best way to create an artist in this day and age. It's more about the TV than it is about the end product."

Charli XCX does not think she would make a good judge because she is too unreliable for live television, joking: "I think I would be too much of a risk - in every way!"
