Chaos and streaking on Rihanna plane

Chaos has erupted on the plane chartered by Rihanna to fly 250 people around the world with her for a week.

The pop star invited 150 journalists and 100 competition-winning fans, crew and entourage on board a Boeing 777 for her seven-day, seven-country tour starting in Mexico City and ending in New York.

But the mood turned from excitement to anger when the We Found Love singer stopped spending any time with her guests.

Reporters on board say they have not seen Rihanna since she walked down the aisle pouring champagne for them on the first day of the tour.

Her absence sparked a semi-rebellion among the increasingly tired and burnt out passengers.

Footage shows dozens of reporters chanting "just one headline" and "RiRi" in unison, cameras trained in hope of a glimpse of the star.

One journalist, reported to be Australian radio DJ Tim Dormer, streaked down the aisle stark naked.

Another Australian journalist began playing the harmonica, prompting threats of violence from other passengers.

The Hollywood Reporter said at one point a label publicist emerged from business class to mouth "what the f*** is going on?" as a journalist screamed "occupy 777".

Meanwhile, Rihanna's shows have been starting increasingly late due to long travel delays.

Julianne Escobedo Shepherd of Spin said: "The plane has become a sovereign airborne colony that fluctuates between madness and murderousness. Many have invoked Almost Famous on this tour, but it's nothing like that: Even Obama's tagalong press corps is smaller than this one."

The tour is in support of Rihanna's new album Unapologetic.
