Call goes out for Hobbit extras

If you dream of playing a character in The Hobbit but missed out, it is not too late.

Peter Jackson's production company 3 Foot 7 is casting for extras for work between May and August.

It is looking for men and women with character faces.

You must be at least 17 years old, and live in Wellington.

Principal filming on all three films in the trilogy took place before last year's the release of the first instalment, but more shooting is needed.

The second film will be released this December.
