Bruce Willis, you old charmer.

After a rather cringe-worthy interview on the BBC's The One Show back in February - following which he blamed jetlag for his "boring" and flaccid performance - the Die Hard star is back to embracing his inner grump.

The 58-year-old actor, who recently jetted to the UK to plug his latest flick Red 2, surfaced for a press junket in London this week, and was quizzed by Magic 105.4 radio reporter Jamie Edwards.

The interview was anything but magic, and Brucey made no bones about letting it be known he'd rather be otherwise engaged - probably a toss between either massaging his hair follicles, washing the goldfish or counting the blades of grass on his lawn.

Perky Edwards introduced Willis, who was with co-star Mary-Louise Parker, with verve, but the actor struggled to prop up the confab with any enthusiasm in return.

'I WOULD SLASH MY HOOVES'

When Edwards asked what his favourite location was while shooting the sequel, Willis responded, "Istanbul," even though the movie wasn't shot there.

"Oh not in this film. In general I like Istanbul," Willis added, clocking that Edwards was specifically referencing the film he was there to peddle.

"At least it proves I've seen the film," Edwards joked. But Bruce was having none of it.

"Has any actor ever told you this, Jamie?" chimed the actor, grimacing. "This part is not acting, what we're doing right now. You might be, but we're just ... selling the film now. Sales. That fun part was making the movie."

Edwards: "So how would you sell me the movie then? How would you say is the best part about the film?"

Willis: "I wouldn't. I would slash my hooves."

Ouch.

Edwards, referencing a line in the movie, then asked the action star what his secret is to keeping women happy.

"No," replied Willis. "That part is just a line in a movie. You just gotta be nice to people. If you want to keep them happy. Keep your friends happy, your family happy. You Just gotta be a nice guy. You just gotta be ... nice."

And when the conversation turned to driving, Willis sniped: "I'm thinking about driving right now. I can hardly keep my mind on this interview. I'm thinking about driving somewhere, maybe the M1."

The interview is then interrupted by the sounds of sirens.

"It's the sirens," chirped Edwards. "They're coming to take me away."

Willis: "Not YOU. They're not coming to take you away. You've got some great questions here, Jamie. Great chat."

Yesterday on Twitter, Edwards described it as "the interview I'll never forget".

Speaking of awkward interviews...

Selena Gomez cut an interview short this week when she was probed about her sometime squeeze, Justin Bieber.

While doing a satellite interview on Monday - her 21st birthday - with showbiz reporter Dean Richards, Gomez appeared uncomfortable when the conversation turned to Bieber and his recent run of negative press.

"You're, you know, probably as close a friend to Justin Bieber as they come," said Richards. "Is there something about him that we don't get or we don't understand? I mean, there is one story after another of, you know, pretty outrageous behaviour that we're reading about."

Gomez glanced nervously at her people off-camera, before the interview was swiftly terminated.

Check out the tail-end of the interview here.

Gomez recently confirmed to Ryan Seacrest that she is no longer dating the teen titan, telling him: "No, I'm not. I'm a kid, and a breakup is normal. I have to go through the emotions and feel it out."

She also admitted she found it hard to handle the media and public interest in their relationship.

"Yeah. I'm sure you could actually see those pictures of me being way stressed about it," she said.

"And it's hard, because what do you do? Do you just wanna sit in your house and hide and not go anywhere?"

JENNIFER LAWRENCE FREAKS OUT MEETING JEFF BRIDGES

Yes, even movie stars can sometimes get star struck, too.

Case in point: The adorable Jennifer Lawrence.

The Oscar-winning Hunger Games star rocked up at the San Diego Comic-Con over the weekend, and went completely fangirl when she spotted Jeff Bridges being interviewed on the red carpet.

She gingerly approached the actor, before nervously running away.

Lawrence eventually sauntered over to Bridges to say hello.

"Oh my God, I'm like your biggest fan, I'm so sorry," said Lawrence as she gave Bridges a hug. "I'm so sorry for interrupting you, there's cameras everywhere."

The reporter then handed Lawrence a mic to interview Bridges.
