Dorothy Vinicombe is a book editor and co-author of a non-fiction title for Year 13 students called Max Your Marks (A&U).

The book I love most is ...Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy. It perfectly captures the dark side of romantic love and the tension between duty and passion. A classic in more ways than one.

The book I'm reading right now is ...The Help by Kathryn Stockett - and I am completely hooked.

The book I'd like to read next is ...House Rules by Jodi Picoult. I know many of the students I teach are excited about reading the latest Picoult, too.

The book that changed me is ...Little Women by Louisa May Alcott. It was my first attempt to read a classic. I was 10 at the time and this novel made me realise how lucky I was to have sisters of my own.

The book I wish I'd never read is ...The Secret by Rhonda Byrne. The thought that this piece of regurgitated drivel is seen as a book that changes lives makes me despair for the future of humanity, or at least, for the future of Western society.
