We got a feeling the Black Eyed Peas might be heading this way after Fergie dropped some not-so-subtle hints earlier this year and now we can confirm the rap popsters are due in New Zealand this October. Will-i-am, apl.de.ap, Taboo and Fergie will play a one-night-only show at Auckland's VectorArena on Tuesday, October 13.
The gig will mark the Peas' first visit back to our shores since October 2005, although Fergie returned in 2008 as a solo act to support the Police at Western Springs Stadium.
The band are currently riding high in the charts with two hit singles - I Gotta Feeling and Boom Boom Pow - which have claimed number one and three spots respectively on the singles chart. Pre-sale tickets to the show will go on sale for 24 hours from 2pm on July 17, through Frontier Touring. To register for pre-sale tickets, see www.frontiertouring.com. Public ticket sales will be available from 9am, July 20, through all Ticketmaster outlets.
