Bieber's graffiti 'wonderful addition' to hotel

An Australian hotel thinks Justin Bieber's graffiti is a "wonderful addition" to their building.

The Boyfriend singer spray-painted the walls outside the QT Gold Coast hotel near Brisbane on Australia's east coast, and the manager considers the star's work to be an asset.

A statement by the hotel read: "Whilst unable to comment while Justin Bieber was staying in the resort due to privacy reasons, the property can now state that it was a coup for the hotel to have Justin want to paint a piece of art in appreciation of his stay.

"This piece of art is now available to be viewed by fans of the artist and we believe that it is a wonderful addition to the colourful Gold Coast arts scene."

However, the local mayor is not so impressed and wants the artwork by Justin and his team of minders - which features a number of brightly coloured faces and shapes - removed.

Gold Coast Mayor Tom Tate tweeted: "Glad you had a great time on Australia's Gold Coast.

Hope to see you back soon to clean up your mess. Make me a Belieber."

The QT Gold Coast hotel has also now launched an online competition, asking local graffiti artists to add their own designs to the wall, and appealing for pictures portraying great things about Australia's Gold Coast.
