Since the post, Love told Page Six he quit the job a few days ago because of medical issues and is looking for a different non-acting job.
“The rural routes were destroying my body,” said Love, who suffers from scoliosis and Scheuermann’s disease, which causes back pain.
“Acting has never paid the bills on its own – not even with 11 episodes of Better Call Saul,” Love said. “I’ve always had to grind regular jobs, and I pour 110% into every single one of them, just like I do with every role.”
Things were looking up in 2024 when he landed a role in the film Lone Wolf with Brian Cranston, Lily Gladstone and Chet Hank. However, the film ran out of funds and filming stopped in February 2025, he told Page Six.
“This just happened to be one of those bizarre cases where the production company ran out of money.”
Love said he was not paid for the film and he wasn’t likely to see a cent.
“Every lawyer says the same, you want us to go after a broke company? The Producers filed bankruptcy?” he said on Reddit.
Down but not out, Love told Page Six he continues to audition for roles and hopes to land a leading role in a feature film, whether it’s a B-list or C-list film.
The actor said he is still in touch with his Better Call Saul co-stars, like Rhea Seehorn, but prefers to work rather than ask for favours.
“I don’t want to be like, ‘Hey, can you do such and such favour for me?’ I like my work, I just want it to speak for itself. And, you know, let that do the justice.”
Love is confident he will return to acting.
“It’s what I love,” Love told Page Six, “But I still got to pay bills.”
