British singer-songwriter Beth Orton will play three New Zealand shows in June.

Orton last played two sold-out New Zealand shows in 2013, and returns this year for dates in Christchurch, Wellington and Auckland.

Orton will play a mixture of her old classics as well as material from her latest album Kidsticks.

The BRIT award winner plays Christchurch's Isaac Theatre Royal on June 20, Wellington's Opera House on June 21 and Auckland's Town Hall on June 22.

Tickets are on sale Monday May 15, with Ticketek and Ticketmaster presales from Wednesday May 10. Full tour information is available here.

Meanwhile, Florida rapper J $tash will play New Zealand for the first time on July 1 for one Auckland show.

The Guerillas rapper will play at Auckland's Neck of the Woods, along with a selection of local acts from Wellington hip hop label Pastel Embassy.
