Best lines from Game of Thrones' fifth season trailer

After months of waiting and the odd cryptic six-second teaser, the first full-length trailer for Game of Thrones season five has arrived.

It was debuted at Imax showings of the last two episodes of season four in the US and was later released internationally, whipping fans into a fever.

The trailer is set to a cover of David Bowie's Heroes.

Tyrion has grown a lustrous beard for season five, which will see "the end of Arya" as we know her.

"We're coming to the end now, so I don't know what they're going to do next year. It's the end of Arya, as far as anyone knows," actress Maisie Williams told The Guardian.

Game of Thrones' fifth season begins on April 12 and will adapt material from George RR Martin's A Feast for Crows and A Dance with Dragons.

It screens on Sky TV's Soho channel in New Zealand.
