Celebrity voice actress will be able to pick out her fans on sight.
Whatever you choose to wear to this weekend's Armageddon expo, Courtenay Taylor will know what kind of fan you are.
"Regardless of what they're wearing, I can always tell my fans apart," says the voice actress from Resident Evil, Mass Effect and Fallout video games and one of many celebrityguests at the pop culture and entertainment event.
"My fans are noticeably particular. Mass Effect fans do great art. Resident Evil fans do a lot of cosplay, and they write fan fiction. Fallout fans have a whacky sense of humour. You say one crazy thing, and they'll turn it into a [meme]."
One of Armageddon's star attractions, Taylor will appear at the four-day event, which starts tomorrow at the ASB Showgrounds, alongside familiar faces like WWF wrestler Jake "The Snake" Roberts, Natalia Tena from Harry Potter and Game of Thrones, and Maggie Roswell, a voice actress from The Simpsons.
Other highlights include cosplay competitions, a giant fireworks display, previews of some of the year's biggest games including Halo 5 and Rise of the Tomb Raider, live wrestling and a Fear Factor-style eating competition.
Pop culture fans from comic book nuts to TV addicts, film fans, cosplay competitors and trading card collectors will attend the expo.
Taylor says gamers tend to be the most intense fans.
"Game fans are very dedicated. We've fought together in their living room. They've played us, and we have been them. It's a much more personal relationship than others. I adore that."
Up to 70,000 people are expected to attend the expo, with pre-bookings essential for tomorrow. That means a lot of waiting for autographs and photos with stars.
Courtenay Taylor is the voice of Staria in the Cartoon Network cult hit Regular Show.
But Taylor says if you find yourself in a queue, it's worth sticking it out.
"If you're waiting in line for two hours, you're going to get your time," she promises. "I don't want anyone to leave unhappy."
